Je suis Charlie is not a trademark: Vanessa Bouchara interviewed by Le Point magazine

‘Je suis Charlie’, the slogan now known and recognized throughout the world in support of the weekly newspaper Charlie Hebdo, is now the subject of a number of trademark registration applications.

Given the extent of its use and considering that the expression is not used to identify the products or services of a business, the INPI has refused the registration requests.
