Image Rights

By Anonymous writer - Glossary

Image rights are a type of personality right which, as the name suggests, protect an individual’s image.

Anyone can bring a claim against the reproduction and use of their image when it has been done without their express consent, without regard to the manner or what device or form of media was used for the image.

Consent to the taking and broadcasting of an individual’s image must be express and sufficiently precise as regards the terms of its use.
