By Anonymous writer - Glossary

A contract is an agreement between two or more parties creating reciprocal obligations between them.

In the context of industrial property, the most common types of contracts are those concerning the transfer of rights or license agreements for the use of industrial property rights. These contracts must be in writing otherwise they will be held to be void.

Once the contract has been registered at the National Register of Trademarks, third parties may challenge it.
