Irregularity Notifications

By Anonymous writer - Glossary

The INPI is able to address irregularity notifications to the party seeking to register a trademark when it considers that the registration filing application must be modified so that it can be properly recorded.

In practice, the INPI sends a letter containing the irregularities with recorded delivery and acknowledgement of receipt. It gives the registering party one month to respond which can be extended to an extra month upon the party’s request.
